The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool and garden. Four other bedrooms share a good sized bathroom and a shower room. The large kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances for your everyday needs and the exterior offers privacy and safe surroundings for good family fun, including a BBQ terrace for outside dining and sun bathing terrace by the pool. The villa has a large garage and a roof terrace that overlooks Alvor with views of the sea and the surrounding countryside towards the Monchique mountains.
The location is ideal if you don’t have a car, with all commodities within walking distance, including supermarkets, the town centre, restaurants, nightlife activities and the nearest beaches only 10 minutes away.
Alvor & Portimão
The fishing village of Alvor is situated on the estuary of the River Alvor. The lovely riverfront has several coffee shops where you can sit and enjoy the scenic setting overlooking the fishing boats in the bay.
Alvor’s main beach, Praia de Alvor, is just a short walk away, past the Alvor sport complex with tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool. It is a lovely long, dune backed, sandy beach with ‘Praia dos Três Irmãos’ a bit further along to the East, set amongst large rock formations.
There are restaurants and snack bars on both beaches and a collection of restaurants are available in Alvor offering fresh fish restaurants and other delicacies.
Alvor is made up of narrow streets with places to eat and drink, and many bars and shops to choose from. It an ideal resort for families and has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. There are plenty of shops including several smaller grocery shops for your daily needs, but if you do decide you want to go further then Lagos is worth a visit and Portimão only a short drive away, but, if won’t need to hire a car as the bus stop by the taxi rank has regular buses to both places.
The centre of the city of Potimão is ideal for shopping and there are several shopping centers with an array of shops, food courts and the cinema. The riverfront in Portimão is also worth a visit with a lovely view over the River Arade and the famous sardine restaurants located near the Portimão bridge. For nightlife activities or an alternative trip to the beach, Praia da Rocha is an excellent option.
Just the other side of the river estuary from Alvor is the long sweeping beach of Meia Praia which runs all the way to Lagos harbour entrance. Lagos has an historic town centre still surrounded by medieval walls, a fort at the harbour entrance and the ‘Golden Church’ of St. Anthony. As well as Meia Praia there are the lovely secluded coves of Dona Ana and Camilo to enjoy. The marina has a selection of bars, restaurants and shops and the cobble stoned streets of the town centre offers plenty of restaurants, cafés and souvenir shops.
The nearest water park – Slide and Splash -is only a short distance away in Lagoa, Zoomarine sea-life Park is less than 30 minutes away on the outskirts of Albufeira and Lagos zoo is even closer only – all great days out for families.

Canoeing trips on the Alvor river, bicycles to hire, several golf courses on the doorstep, fishing trips and boat trips to see the caves around Lagos or dolphin watching.
