Quinta dos Trevos is a farmhouse set in a beautiful, tranquil countryside location that offers a unique rural experience filled with culture and traditions.
This farmhouse accommodates 3 people in a one bedroom apartment with a bathroom, kitchen and living room. There are also two double bedrooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning and a porch with a view of the surrounding countryside.
Activities related to traditional arts and crafts play a major part of the rural tourism experience. Guests are invited to participate in the different arts and crafts workshops including restoration work, weaving and working with wood and wrought iron. Children can participate in candle making activities, learning to manufacture recycled paper, bicycle riding, archery and swimming.
Tourists and visitors can attend workshops or just enjoy a peaceful holiday in contact with nature. For a good start to the day guests will be treated to an abundant and energizing breakfast complete with delicious local produce.

The farmhouse is located near the Tejo International nature reserve park near the historical village of Monsanto (43km’s), the most Portuguese village in Portugal, and Idanha-a-Velha (35km’s). It is also very close to the Spanish border (39km’s) and larger cities such as Castelo Branco (23km’s), Fundão (50km’s) and Covilhã (65km’s) by the ‘Serra da Estrela’ mountain range.
The Tejo International nature reserve park plays an important role in preserving several bird species, natural to the area, that nest along the steep river banks of the surrounding areas. The most important species are the Imperial eagle, the Royal eagle, the Bonelli’s each, the black vulture, the Egyptian vulture, the black stork, the Blackjack and the Royal kite. There are several endangered fish species in the rivers, natural to the Iberian Peninsula, and flora characteristically of the Mediterranean region.
